A Clean and Simple Christmas #5

Welcome! We have some more CAS Christmas cards to share today.  I don’t know about you, but when it comes to Christmas cards, CAS just seems to be the  best option for me.

Here’s a peek at Darsie’s card for today:

Gosh, I LOVE that big holiday bow!

You can see the full card on Darsie’s blog right here.

Darsie used:

JustRite Papercraft Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Winter Wonders – Side B

All Spellbinders M-Bossabilities embossing folders can be seen here — you get TWO designs in each folder!

May Arts Red/Green 1.5″ Gingham Ribbon

The Christmas Collection Stick Pins by Darsie and Kaisercraft Red Rhinestones

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

A NOTE about the Stick Pins: YES, we do have some back in stock, but in very limited quantity.  All stick pin backorders have been mailed out and I was so pleased to see I have some left to add back into the store!  When gone, they’ll be gone for several weeks.  There are more coming on the horizon, but it’ll be a bit this time.

All the Stick Pins by Darsie can be seen here.

All pins in stock by all manufactures can be seen here.

Here’s what I made for today:

This trio of cards was super easy — all paper is from Graphic 45’s Nutcracker Sweet. Such gorgeous color and beautiful designs in this pad!  I’d like to point out that for my focal image rectangles I just used regular sheets from the pad.  There are other options, however.  As with all the Graphic 45 pads, they provide several sheets per pad with beautifully framed images ready to be cut out and used.  The Chipboard Die Cut Tags that coordinate with all their pads is another super easy option.  Just pop out the chipboard die cut and use it either as your focal image or as an embellishment.

All items in stock by Graphic 45 can be seen here.

All paper was cut using Spellbinder’s dies.  The ONLY thing cut at the paper cutter was the card itself.  I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and A2 Matting Basic B.  If you don’t like to cut and measure, WOW, these dies are for you.  These dies cut the paper for you in incremented layers so they are PERFECT every time.

For the background designer paper sheet and the focal image deisgner paper rectangle I used Matting Basics A.

For the ivory mat to the focal image rectangle and for the sentiment strip I used Matting Basics B.

Having only one set gives you the standard 1/4″ layers like all the Spellbinder dies.

Having both sets allows you to create the 1/8″ mats.

These sets are an absolute delight to use with perfect results EVERY time!!!

All three sentiments are from my go-to holiday set for this year – JustRite’s Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments. It is a clear set with a lot of beautifully scripted holiday sentiments in various larger sizes.  When I do CAS cards a sentiment is often the only stamp I use, and this set is a winner for me this year!  You’ll note Darsie used this sentiment set today as well!

It seems each year I end up with a favorite holiday sentiment set.  My favorite from last year has been retired by Justrite, but I do have some left here at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, and they are ON SALE.   Who doesn’t love that!  Last years go to holiday sentiment set for me was Christmas Mini Sentiments.  These are darling tiny sentiments and it is a ribbed set and does require use of a clear stamper that you can find here.

Also used were Versa Fine Onyx Black Ink (my favorite for crisp, clear sentiments), 3D Foam Squares and one rhinestone per card — just that tiny bit of bling does the trick!

And that does it for today’s project.  Hope you liked it!

All items used are available at The Stamp  Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.
