Something NEW and Kind of Exciting – Plus an Invitation for YOU!
I have a bit of news to share today, along with a simple make-n-take type of card that we’ll get to in a bit. As those of you who visit here regularly know, I run an online store. It is based out of my home and the store space is way too tight to offer classes. My products are organized in “warehouse fashion” as I like to say. I can lay my finger on any product on a moment’s notice, but it is not conducive to have customers come in to shop. For a long time I’ve been wishing for a place where I could actually show some product, meet some customers and offer mini classes, or make-n-takes.
Well, that day has come! The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store now has a small presence in a brick and mortar store that also offers me enough space to offer mini classes. We are located in the Keweenaw Kountry Store in Chassell, MI, right across from the Chassell School. It is reminiscent of an old fashioned general store, offering bulk foods and the best cheeses you’ll find in the Copper Country!
We have a display set up with a nice offering of products. Here’s a peek:
Our display offers stamps and papers with coordinated embellishments and ribbon packets.
Everything is matched up perfectly – so there’s no guess work when making your selections!
I plan to swap out the displays every couple weeks, so if you want it, get it while it’s there!
Stamps featured are our very own Stamp Simply Clear Stamps and some fun summery clear sets by JustRite.
We are featuring paper collections by Kaisercraft along with the coordinating Mini Blooms and Rhinestones/Pearls.
And we can’t forget the ribbon!
I’ve put together some ribbon packets to match the papers along with some pre-packaged laces and baker’s twine.
All have been selected to match the paper collections above.
We’ve also included the paper basics – white and colored cardstock, along with some popular glittered cardstock and our super popular mirrored cardstocks in silver and gold.
Not shown here but we’ve also included some basic inks along with acrylic blocks and a few essential adhesives.
And we have SO much more to add, or swap out, as space permits.
When I meet with customers tomorrow I’ll be anxious to get their feedback as to what they’d like to see in stock.
Our online store is filled to the brim with dies and embossing folders, which have not yet made their way to the Keweenaw Kountry Store. We’re working on it!
We are certainly open to suggestions and would LOVE your input!

JOIN US ON FRIDAY
I’ll be at the Keweenaw Kountry Store this Friday, July 8, offering a simple make-n-take project at a cost of only $2.00 to cover supplies.
It’s a GREAT time to come to Chassell as this weekend is their famous Strawberry Festival.
Come to join in all the local festivities, and stop in to check out our display and make this fun little birthday card:
Since this card was designed as a quick make-n-take project, I kept it really simple.
The focus was on pretty paper, quick sentiment stamping both inside and out, and a bit of ribbon as adornment.
The adhesive rose ribbon used is super soft and will work in an envelope without too much extra bulk.
And here’s the card inside.
I love this particular stamp set as it allows you to create a beautiful inside as well as card front.
I used:
Stamps: Birthday Blessings by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps (inside and out)
Paper: Secret Admirer by Kaisercraft
Ribbon: May Arts 1″ Grosgrain w/Satin Edge – Turquoise
May Arts Adhesive Rosettes – White
Embellishments: Kaisercraft Rhinestones – Aqua
Adhesives: Scor Tape
And here’s one more quick little project I did with the same stamp set.
This little vase is actually a pineapple can.
I covered my can with two types of the May Arts 2.5″ Cotton Blend Vintage Print Ribbon.
I then covered my “seam” with a piece of Venise Lace.
All is easily secured by wrapping Scor Tape around the can, then just wrap the ribbon around on top of the tape.
The tag is made with Birthday Blessings by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
I also used May Arts Burlap String (bow) and a Leaf Pin.
All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

And that about wraps it up for today.
Hope to see you in Chassell tomorrow!
Have a wonderful weekend, whatever you do!!!

Congrats to you! Only wish you were close to home! Used to work in a local scrapbook stamping store and miss it so much!! Your display looks fabulous!
Thanks so much, Jan!
So glad for you! You’re about 11hrs drive from me, but one day hope to get to the UP on a vacation. Hope you have great fun and success (and keep your online store running!). Great job!
Thanks, Kris! I know that drive well. Our son and his family live in Granville, so we go there quite often. A good stop on the way up is Mackinac City/Island. Always fun!!! And no worries, the online store is here to stay.
How exciting for you! All good wishes to you as you begin this new adventure. Unfortunately, I live way too many states away to be able to visit, but I will continue to enjoy your blog & shop online!
Thanks, Kristine! I know — with the internet everyone seems so close, but in reality, most are truly so far, far away! Crazy world these days. But fun!!!
Congratulations! Your display is awesome. I wish I were closer.
Thank you, Regina! I wish you lived closer, too!
Congratulations! I love everything I order from you. Wish New Hampshire wasn’t so far away!
Thanks, Debra! I wish all my long-time customers could come! Sadly, so many ARE so far away!

Congratulations! I wish I lived closer, I would definitely come in. Such beautiful displays (I was a fashion merchandising major with a concentration in display in college!). Best wishes to you.
Best Wishes on your new adventure! I am sure it will be a success, because your products are so very nice. I have been happy with everything that I have purchased from you and will continue to shop online as I live in Northern Illinois, so not that close to come and visit the store. Looking forward to hearing more about this adventure on your blog.
Best wishes for this new adventure in your business. I wish I could pop on over tomorrow, but Bay City is just a few too many hours from you. Maybe sometime on a UP trip we can make a stop to see you in the shop.
Gee, I was already to jump in the car and visit, until I looked up where it is. To far from Lansing, Mi. But happy for you and your customers that you now had a store to sell from and able to do classes. I’m sure everyone will love it.
